Our modern design elements vividly pop against the Victorian features in the shell of the space.

Michael Mullin San Francisco Architect - Castro, San Francisco, Renovation

This self-employed designer wanted to remodel his San Francisco flat to include a home office.  To find room, we needed to be clever about conserving space.  We built an office behind sliding panels, leaving him with a simple and uncluttered home at the end of the work day.

The bathroom was too small to contain a comfortable shower. We tiled the whole bathroom and let it become one big shower with plenty of elbow room.

At the back of the flat, the kitchen was blocked from the deck by a rarely-used porch.  We expanded the kitchen into that porch space to create a dining area with natural light and a garden view.

The Victorian architecture of the flat is balanced and complemented by the modern design elements of our remodel.

“He communicates well and is on top of things. I'm really impressed with Michael.  He's great at what he does and has a great sense of aesthetic. He's one of those people who does what he says he will do.” - WS
