Removing older additions that were poorly integrated into the original structure, rather than remodeling them, can create more outdoor space and improve the efficiency of interior spaces.
Example: Oakland 1Removing an old add-on allowed more light and fresh air to reach the interior. We took advantage of the freed space by adding this 3 story veranda across the back of the house to encourage indoor-outdoor living and a strong relationship among the neighbors.
